It's a Boy!

Welcome to the world little Nolan Lloyd!

Our good friends Dr. D & A welcomed their first child into the world this weekend! Ry & I are so excited for them and look forward to many more funny stories of parenthood (already Dad has almost been peed on!)!

Mommy A is my hero. This little guy was almost 10 lbs! She is a strong lady and Nolan is lucky to have such great parents!

We hope to come visit you all in the midwest sometime in the next few months!

Nolan was the first to receive one of the hand-knitted baby blankets that I have been working on this year (aka "The year of the baby"). Because I had previously made his mom a scarf out of green Wool Ease, I decided that he needed a blue blanket made of Wool Ease Thick & Quick. For all of you knitters out there -- I totally recommend it! It's machine washable, not itchy, and it is a super quick knit. The pattern is just a diagonal baby blanket knit on size 15 needles. I loved it so much I had to run out and buy more of this yarn!

Hope you enjoy your blankie, Nolan! Be good for Mom & Dad!

My boyfriend is Ab Fab!

For many, many reasons RyGuy is the best boyfriend ever.

His latest feat:

Buying me the remaining seasons of Gilmore Girls that I have been whining about ever since I got home from Costa Rica (where the Gilmore Girls Seasons 2 & 3 got me through the hard times)!

I can't wait to visit Rochester in April to get my Gilmore Girls DVDs!

Oh, and to spend time with Ry ....

Love ya Dr. RyGuy!!!!!!

Happy Easter!

While many family's are searching for colored eggs and easter baskets, I am at work, forcing my fishies to search for their babies.

When questioned by a senior professor as to why I was in so early on Easter Sunday, I replied "My fish don't know that it is Easter."

His response: "Perhaps they're Muslim."

Perhaps they are.

Hope you all have a Happy Easter!

I'm off to work and hang out with Ry before he heads back to the land of ice and snow!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

A holiday that is celebrated by wearing green & drinking beer?

Is it my birthday?

To celebrate, I was up at 3:30am, in Philly by 6am (can you see us in the back right, celebrating with WMMR's Preston & Steve???), drinking at 7:05am, stealing a guy's beer by 8am, getting a free t-shit by 8:30, finishing my 4th beer by 9am, sobering up by 10:30, having cheesesteaks at 11:30, shopping at IKEA until 1pm and at work (and slightly hungover) by 3pm.

While I am getting too old for this, I enjoy my life!

Hope you all celebrate this day of green in your own little way!

PS -- I'll be wearing green all week!
